Hyderabad: In a resounding New Year address to the people of Telangana, the new Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy stressed that the government, under the banner of 'Praja Palana' (People's government), heralded an era of comprehensive change and progress. With removing barriers and a commitment to inclusive governance, the state has embarked on a journey towards democratic revival and freedom for all citizens.

Chief among the government's pledges is the implementation of six key guarantees, with two already realized and plans underway for the remaining four. Emphasizing welfare for all, he said the administration vows to make Telangana a frontrunner in national development while prioritizing youth empowerment and modernizing the education system.

2024 has been dedicated as the 'Year of Women, Farmer, and Youth,' signalling a concerted effort to reinvigorate government structures in alignment with the ethos of 'Praja Palana.' Notably, initiatives such as 'Praja Vani' have been introduced to address citizen grievances directly, fostering a more humane approach to governance.

Economic rejuvenation takes centre stage, with transparency initiatives like 'White Papers' on state finance, power sectors, and forthcoming revelations on corruption in the irrigation sector. Efforts to combat corruption from the previous regime are underway, ensuring accountability and the recovery of misappropriated public funds.

The government's unwavering commitment extends to social welfare, promising swift action on pending pensions, ration cards, and housing allotments. Striving against misinformation campaigns, the government maintains a 24-hour open-door policy to assist citizens.

Acknowledging the sacrifices made during the Telangana movement, initiatives for the welfare of activists' families, along with measures benefiting unorganized sector workers, journalists, and others, underscore the government's broad spectrum of social responsibility.

In his closing address, he reflected on the spirit of noted writer and poet Dasaradhi's famous quote - " Naa Telangana Koti Ratanala Veena", the government will reflect the voice of people's welfare and aspired to move the state to many heights in the development. I am again wishing every citizen's aspirations are fulfilled, flourish every house with prosperity and bring more joy and cheerful in everyone's life in the state in the new year."
